Guan Zhaoyong, a native of Yancheng, Jiangsu Province. Professor, Ph.D. supervisor.  Research areas in meteorological education, teaching and scientific research for a long time. Teaching Courses like Atmospheric Dynamics, Dynamic Meteorology and Nonlinear Dynamics . Mainly engaged in the study of atmospheric circulation dynamics mechanism, Asian monsoon and air-sea interaction, etc. Published more than 200 academic papers.

Study experience

In 1984, graduated from Meteorology Department of Nanjing University with a bachelor's degree.

In 1987, graduated from the Department of Atmospheric Sciences, Nanjing University with a master's degree.

In 1990, graduated from the Department of Atmospheric Sciences, Nanjing University with a doctorate degree.

Work experience

1990.07—2003.11,served as a teacher and administrator with Nanjing Institute of Meteorology (lecturers, associate professors and professors, as director of teaching and research department, deputy director of department and department director);

1995.10—1996.07, visited the Department of Meteorology, University of Edinburgh, UK, and cooperated in scientific research: Air-sea Coupling Model and Climate Simulation;

1999.02—2001.02, visited Japan: Frontier Research System For Global Change（IGCR）， Research area：Climate Modeling and Prediction；

1996-1997, Tu Changwang Award of the Youth Science and Technology Award of the Chinese Meteorological Society was the second prize;

2009, first prize for educational and teaching achievements in Jiangsu Province;

2011, enjoying special allowances from the Government of the State Council.

2016, the first prize of Meteorological Science and Technology Achievement Award of China Meteorological Society.
